European tour from middle May until end of July.
IOW Festival? Hyde Park again?
I was busy bumping the lyrics thread as you were doing this.
Sunderland's Stadium of Light
Manchester's Etihad Stadium.
AH'M FRM SOONDERLAND
I've got a horrible feeling I'm going to a wedding on the Saturday of Hardrock calling......
I can't go to any of those dates :(
Fingers crossed for a Dublin date on a saturday.
to either Manchester or London, must not miss out on the boss this time
Wonder if there's any truth to the rumour Radiohead are also at IOW!?
Should find out in the next couple of days, last year IOW organisers had annouced all headliners by the time tickets went on sale... Needless to say I will almost certainly get tickets for this now :)
Radiohead & The Boss.
If the IOW Festival crowd weren't so darn cunty i might be tempted.
As efestivals has a interview up with IOW boss stating that he has 3 classic American headliners
a quick check of the calendar suggests there's nothing un-duckable on that weekend :D
Only remaining question is, Manchester or LDN? Or both?
If you can handle being in a scummy stadium in Manchester that is. I'd wear my Springsteen Aresnal Shirt I had made for the Emirates gig if I went......
I've yet to hear a band sound great at Hyde Park and his Glastonbury show was my least favourite of the ones I've seen. Not that he was anything less than really fucking great there either, but if I'm paying upwards of £60 for this then shit's got to be optimal.
better than at the Emirates at least where it wasn't great - but was my first Boss live experience so I loved it anyway.
he is just incredible live. can't wait
In for Hard Rock Calling for certain.
I'm not sure that my love for Bruce is able to overcome my immense aversion to going to the IOW festival, however...
Quite up for some shows in mainland Europe though. Good excuse to visit friends and follow Bruce around on tour at the same time. Is there any chance that he might be announced for Primavera...?
Much less of an issue when he did two nights at the Emirates in 2008 - think tickets were available for a fair while.
I'm not sure re. Hard Rock Calling in 2009, as I was at Glastonbury. Anyone know what the capacity for HRC is?
it did sell out in '09
tend to go really quickly for all his shows. So depends if you're happy being at the back of a stadium. Although there's so much energy coming off the stage it seems to matter less than with other artists.
Seriously though, there aren't going to be many more chances to see the full band in the UK so if you haven't seen them before go for it.
Wonder who'll replace Clarence...
I meant the E Street Band in general but you're right of course, there's going to be a very big hole to fill and it really won't be the same but it will be an awful lot better than not at all.
hope so, but really think he'd want to do something bigger, like Camp Nou

Now I need to figure out if the pennies will stretch to two Dublin trips in a month.....
Mr Bitters_and_Absolute got tickets for Manchester then I accidentally bought some for Hyde Park too. Seemed really easy to get tickets here but sounds like the presales for Paris, Barca and Sweden have been a nightmare. Ticketbastard crashing all over the place.
got a couple of tickets for Hyde Park so I'm happy :D
is kinda putting me off... 96 euros or 86 euros (£82 & £73) before booking fee etc
How much is Hyde Park?
Also extra date added in Dublin 18th July
Hard Rolling Calling things usually have a fairly sizeable support bill too, not sure what the other gigs will be like in this respect
at Manchester and Sunderland. There never is at Springsteen gigs. Never been to Hard Rock Calling before so don't know what the situation will be if its a festival. Anybody go last time he played there in 2009?
was support. Low Anthem, James Morrison and Dave Matthews Band
Came to around £70 after fees and standard pay-to-print-your-own-ticket bullshit.
Hyde Park will be with a bunch of people. Manchester, however, will be on me tod.
I went the same year he played Glastonbury and I paid over 90euro, it was fuckin phenomenal though. He even played '41 Shots', that alone was almost worth paying so much.
Worth seeing him in Spain, I went to both Camp Nou shows couple of years back and it made Ireland seem like a library and the Irish were rowdy as hell.
Spanish crowd reaction was just bonkers.
Has anyone any experience of Estadio Anoeta?
