I find the second half so cold and bleak though.
One side which is pretty much a single ridiculous guitar solo extended to 20 minutes, and one side of massively bleak drones.
Relentless! When I listen to it I sort of wish he'd have played more drums instead of going full on electronic.
I know it's a compilation but still. Damo Suzuki and Malcolm Mooney on the same album! And Mother Sky which is the best piece of music ever.
Trans-Europe Express. Maybe Neu!75 as well though.
But really it's the first Neu album, Tago Mago by Can or Zuckerzeit by Cluster.
Or Ash-Ra Tempel - S/T
and then Faust IV
it's tricky though
I had a t-shirt with that logo on but I lost it at Bestival when I took my clothes off :(
Also: the first Kraftwerk album (red witches hat)
though quite a few others come pretty close, especially one of the Can albums (undecided which one) and Cluster II
is fucking amazing.
Checking that one out fer sure
Also, don't know if it completely counts as Krautrock but it's pretty close I guess- Spiritualized's "Ladies and gentlemen we are Floating in Space."
then Fujiya & Miyagi's Transparent Things album is a superb slice of modern Krautrock
Ventriloquizzing was also pretty good, though not as good as Transparent Things.
IN FUCKING SANE
I've listened to Neverendless a couple of times and think that's quite good.
I also think Neverendless is "quite good", but a little too polite & disciplined. Hunt Like Devil blows it (and everything else they've done) clear out of the water.
Still repetitive and motorik and all those other krauty things, but with the acid-fried blown-out weirdness dialled up to 11.
I could listen to it for hours. Nice bit of that on multiple Neu tracks.
or any of those 3 classics.
Didn`t include any of my favourite electronic stuff [rubycon, moondawn, musik Von Harmonia]as there`s no rock in it.

Kraftwerk - K4: Bremen Radio (http://dimmuborghild.blogspot.com/2006/07/kraftwerk-k4-bremen-radio-1971.html)
Future Days by Can or NEU! 75. They both the shizzle!
