Well that's exciting innit?
Radiohead thread derailed by multiple Radiohead related comments.
it's beautiful, contains some cuts of some of their best unreleased songs from their most melodic period, and the hotel room scene with Scott Walker's "On your own again" is pure poetry.
Would it have killed them to put the In Rainbows session in there too?
Why would you want the dvd when you can watch it free online?
Yes I'm a sucker.
SEVEN television commercials?? SEVEN?? and that live album with only 8 miserly tracks on it but sneakily ONE was an unreleased cut that meant fans would buy it.
i mean why don't they release a proper 40 track video comp DVD and call it 40 Television Commercials or whatever.
as say this as someone who's seen them about 6 times live.
8 miserly songs? what's wrong with that? it's highlighting some of the live differences of some of the songs of the time, with a lovely accoustic song for good measure and heck around the same time they "leaked" a full soundboard version of a gig from Berlin.
remember the most gigantic lying mouth of all time?
they also gave away an album for free, not many bands had done that before, not many bands that are as established as Radiohead have done it since.
as say this as someone who's seen them 6 and a half times live
which has all of their videos from when they were signed to them?!
and therefore 8 tracks is fairly generous.
but then I thought: 'Eh, I've already watched it like a 100 times, I'll just wait for Supercollider to appear on YouTube.'
Besides, why would I want to waste 20 EUR on this when I can buy the Sigur Ros Inni live album and DVD instead, once it arrives in my local shop?!
