  • Standing is ok as long as you're in the front section

      • Yep this

most of the standing bit when I went - that is, late, and thus towards the back - was just twatzatthebar/londonmegachat

  • Horrible venue

They didn't let me in. I didn't have a ticket, though. Wasn't on the guestlist either.

    Anyone else had this problem?

  • I saw the Pixies there a while back

Had the best spot in the house. Upper standing area against the barrier. On pretty much eye level with the band. Elsewhere standing is pretty shit, especially further back in the upper standing area. Get there early though as there is only room for about 20ish people in this position.

  • Reminds me

of the Kentish Town Forum as a venue. More than fine in the lowered dance floor area, or at the front of the section behind. Nearer the back? Fugedaboutit.

The Pixies and Godspeed gigs I saw there were all excellent.

  • I saw the Flaming Lips perform there

Probably my favourite high-mid sized venue in London really.

  • Bad sight lines

in the seats upstairs. Hand rails and barriers right in the field of vision of people sat behind them which means that they have stand up to see past them, therefore getting in the way of everyone behind.

Plus it's an absolute pain in the arse to get to from the west of London.
