Or is this a troll?
Or did they do it via email?
But maintaining a 6 person band on a small scale like Danananackroyd must be really difficult sometimes. I love/d 'em.
Glad I was lucky enough to get to see them the few times they came to Aus. Always great fun.

Shits gonna get messy
things are going to get knocked over
The gigs are going to be fucking unbelievable though.
Clashes with MF DOOM
Two perfect albums.
Will be going to the Glasgow show for sure.
I'm going to listen to all their stuff tonight and see if I should not miss these shows or not.
Even if you still don't 'get' it, you should still give them a go in a live environment.
They are fun live but I never really listen, not sure why
but tbh I never returned to their first album after about a month and thought the second one was just ... Well, shite.
probably gonna go, yeah
Well that's total shit news.
Saw them every time I had a chance and they were never less than brilliant.
Already had tickets for KCLSU but might try and catch another night now.
oh well. trip to glasgow... i am going to be there, but unlikely to make it to the gig because my george foreman's mum is in town. maybe plead with them... but it's unlikely.
Really tempted to take a trip back up to Newcastle to see them at that final gig - it'll be a cracker of a Saturday night.
Just got a couple of texts from mates, unprompted, asking if I want a ticket...
wish i was in england really bad right now. i went to a shit load of dana gigs in 08/09 and every single one was unique and memorable and some of the best times i've ever had.
Still remember the first time I heard the EP and being completely blown away. And yeah, so so so good live.
I don't really like it yet tbh, Ross Robinson solved the sound issues but the songs don't have that energy, and they don't seem to have the rolling escalade of endless candy coated riffs that the first one had.
Not a total waste, just not as fun as I expected I guess.
Still wish they'd come to the states.
it's one of those where not much stands out but it's solidly good all the way through
then it goes kind of hit and miss. I still love and will miss them though
Muscle Memory is the fifth track.
Great song yeah.
I really didn't see them enough is my main thought - twice as JoFo support, once at Dot To Dot, and then on this tour all being well. As everyone says, what a live band they are/were.
glad i'm seeing them in portsmouth in november though.
one of the catchiest things I've ever heard.
same day as constellations. thats not cool. may contemplate driving down for the york gig the night before and stopping in york/leeds overnight.
...Pulled Apart By Horses doing a dj set afterwards. And they've promised gangsta rap.
I'm assuming it's a financial decision which makes it all the sadder. Particularly when you think about all the mediocre bands over the years who've made careers out of music.
I only got to see them the once, here in Norwich a year or so back but I have amazing memories of it. I've been going to gigs since the mid-80s and I can honestly say it's in the top ten.
On a positive note, they're bound to do other stuff individually so let's look forward to that.
I'll be at the London show, trying not to think about it being the end.
but the is no denying their live credentials, fucking awesome live
They always seemed too obviously try-hard and spontaneity by numbers to me.
However, a lot of people liked them and it's always sad when a band goes down.
they're a bit shit tbh.
i didn't mean it
I still feel like I've taken crazy pills when I hear so many people getting dizzy over this band.
Still, I'm not that bothered whether they split up or stay together to be honest, I won't be listening to that shocking debut anytime soon either way.
plus: last show ever
plus: don't have to go to Glasgow
only an hour or so on the train
pretty sad news. Really didn't like anything they released after sissy hits, which is a shame considering that record was fucking incredible. w/ the mae shi at the old blue last 3 years ago was a great show.
This is indeed true, everyone should come to a date on their last tour!
