Thought I'd share - I think it's pretty ace myself:
It's just a lyric.
there are about 4 different mixes of it on Spotify but they're somehow all different to the one that i have on my copy of the album. i think my copy is the 2nd time they reissued it. but i can't be sure.
Just one of their finished tracks for an album that will hopefully emerge at some point...
Think they're just trying to build up their profile again a little bit.
that's right, i went of my own free will to see Longview and Athlete. and paid money for this. to this day i don't know why
also why did they keep re-releasing Further anyway? did they not twig that it really wasn't any good at all, and that's why no fucker bought it?
They were actually messed about by their record label who kept re-releasing that track and also the album. Not the band's fault, okay? I think 'Further' is a great track. Cheers
I love them. I really do.
I even loved Black Swan.
One of the best things about seeing them live is that they hand-pick their support. I've seen them with Alfie and Loney,Dear - but never, unfortunately, with Fonda 500.
and being absolutely baffled by it - not because I didn't like them - just the idea of Fonda 500 playing to people that knew Athlete from You Got The Style seeing a grown man in a panda hat punching a keyboard BLEW MY TINY MIND.
I believe they used to share members and equipments - like the Dandy Warhols and Brian Jonestown Massacre, but without the ridiculous.
Still not seen Fonda 500. And yet, I have seen Forward Russia. Where's the justice in that?
So much so that I investigated a bit further (joke fully intended), but everything else seemed poor next to that song.
Not really enjoying this one either to be honest. The chorus is weak as fuck and there was a section about a minute from the end where they re-used that epic climbing melody from Further but managed to suck the all emotion from it by playing it weedily on the bottom string of the one guitar.
So yeah, not a fan.
'Further' was head and shoulders above the rest of that first album. I've heard a few of the other possible tracks for the 2nd album and I still think they've got something when they crank those guitars up. There's a wide-eyed innocence and heart-on-their-sleeve thing that seems far more affecting and real to me than anything someone like Coldplay would put out. Appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea though.
She was taking me over/felt like the start of forever
I remember it from when they were called The Jokers! It used to go high on the "O" of "over" in those days though.
but this is balls

Prettttty bored today.....
