I'm doing the rounds on Google etc., but are there any you'd vouch for?
+ also Survival in Acton, both really cheap and run by decent fellows
We were a 7-piece so it was fine.
Westbourne Studios is pretty good in West London.
The Scar in Camden (noisy rail tracks make amps squeel)
Enterprise in Tott Ct Rd (Run by cunts and everything is broken)
a shower of ruddy 'OMG I'M SO PUNK' cunts indeed. Been once in the past, never, ever again
Any more are welcome (subtle bump).
is the one we use, very good although a tad expensive you pay for the quality run by very good people too! Bush studios underneath shepherds bush market station isnt bad either aswell as Arch studios in ravenscourt park who do a good deal on sundays 45 pound for 6 hours. As said earlier avoid enterprise its a shithole run by dickheads and scar is rubbish too!
....in New Southgate. Been rehearsing there for over two years. Cheap, good equipment, nice sized rooms and the guys that run it at really friendly. Easy train ride from Highbury or Finsbury Park
my friend is involved, so this is kinda hald a jag. anyhoo. a bit out of the way maybe, but lovely people.
Then again, the only place we used before was Enterprise, so anything better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick would probably seem amazing.
a bit difficult to find but a great space. They sometimes have special deals, just call them & enquire, the guy who runs it is really nice!
went there after a few years of putting up with the filth and squalor of Enterprise (the punk staff were always ok to us though) and it was an amazing change, clean, things work, air con, teabags milk and kettle, ok vocal PAs, highly recommend.
Also use the Peel in Kingston/Norbiton, under the \m/ metal \m/ club, the guy who runs it is friendly and stuff works, not had a bad experience there.
I work at a rehearsal studio in Tottenham Hale called Bally Studios http://www.ballystudios.co.uk
Prices for a 4hr session range from £38 to £46 depending on what size room you need. The session price includes the back line, amps and a full drum kit. You can also drink as many free cups of tea and coffee as you can fit in!!
