5.02 - This is so so so good. Could listen to it all day
The one he does at the end of Comfortably Numb in this is awesome. Actually, the whole thing is so it's worth the loading time:
That was amazing. If you got more then I'd love to hear!
Dad was always a massive Floyd fan in his youth. I remember getting a text off him in Malaysia saying how amazing he found it.
Fuck the G8, the real crime was bands like Keane getting to play instead of more Floyd numbers. /half-serious
There's practically no continuity of sound from the Syd era to any of the albums after Ummagumma; they might as well be regarded as two separate bands, musically speaking. The decent post-Syd albums don't need more Syd (imho), and it's those that The Division Bell is trying to emulate.
I've never seen a MP3 with a red flashing eyes.
Actually that was the live album 'Pulse'
Still comes across a bit Pink-Floyd-by-numbers to me though - it sounds like they're trying to scale the heights of the Meddle-Animals era and can't quite recapture the magic.
Never got into the post-Waters Floyd. Make that post-Animals. But the few songs off of the greatest hits that I heard from the Gilmour era were pleasant enough. High Hopes is OK.
Was the first Floyd record I heard, so I'll always have a fondness for it. High Hopes is a great tune as is A Great Day For Freedom.

here come the syd era floyd defenders.
