and don't. The quality drop after the letting go is massive.
You Want That Picture is one of his best songs. And the Ask Forgiveness EP of cover songs is amazing.
Lie down in the light is the best thing he's done since the letting go but it's still a proper dip from everything that came before. I guess it's probably because he's gotten older and a bit more comfortable with himself but I really miss the Will Oldham that was funny and sad and twisted at the same time as being musically interesting. Now he just seems like a slightly pervy country singer...
.... I always stick it on in the car to get my kids asleep. This should be noted as a good thing!
Lie Down and Beware are both many times better than The Letting Go.
Especially not beware. The letting go isn't even that great by his previous standards but beware is just tied of an album
