But I don't think she'll ever top her debut, these quiet folky mumblings just feel all a bit samey to me.
Sophia and Night After Night are good though.
I think maybe I'm never going to love another album of hers the way I do Alas I Cannot Swim. And never love another song of hers the way I do New Romantic.
The lyrics are awful, so rhyme-y and stilted.
how about we agree people stop overusing the mother/grave/tomb/son/daughter/maker/soil tropes quite so much?
Second listen I think it's going to be my favourite of her three albums in a few listens time.
