is shite, if you were wondering.
a professional band like Interpol would employ a bass player who was shite.
he's really, really not :/
way better than Pajo
I dunno, may have been an off night, point is he has a total howler in Glasgow last night
was playing bass with them when I saw them at Shepherds Bush in March and he was fine, no complaints at all from me.
What is the above based (pun, haha!) might I ask?
Did he not play in rhythm?
Didn't lock in with the drums?
Played duff notes?
Had no stage presence?
Has awful backing vox?
Is literally a pile of shite?
Didn't display any dynamics?
he completely fucked up The New which is just sin as far as I'm concerned
Looking past the fact i've always thought they were pants live anyway, i think they've done pretty bloody well replacing bass players so promptly.
Love the bass player. LOVE HIM!
both with Truax, and thought he did great, esp given he had some big shoes to fill let's be honest.
Brixton in December was the first time I'd ever seen Interpol and I was blown away.
Will be interesting to see, if they make another album, what it sounds like sans Carlos. Would be a shame if they didn't make another album, they're way superior to The National or Editors (who they seem to get compared to alot) in my opinion.
His managed The New just fine tonight, as I didn't notice any other errors, except for his horrendous KoL haircut, which is disgusting. Also he didn't play PDA, but nor did the rest of the band so I'll let him off.
that he was the only thing that was decent in Glasgow last night. Setlist was utter shit, nobody wants to hear all of Antics, chaps. The sound was fucking abysmal throughout. And the encore was the worst I've ever seen from any band, and that's even with them playing 'Specialist'.
Take You On A Cruise
You mental, pal?
is utter guff. Especially when you've stood through the whole gig with it sounding completely shit and already heard far too many tracks from Antics and desperately want to hear Untitled/NYC/Stella/PDA/Roland...
Trust me, I was there, and it was shite.
Was one of the best songs of the set when I saw them a few years ago. That was an annoyingly Antics-heavy set though in comparison with all the Bright Lights-heavy sets they were doing on the same tour though, got a bit frustrating.
the first time Paul had used an ebow. Bit drudgy as well after Specialist which is hardly a fast paced romper.
Drums were too loud and the Kessler's guitar was way too quiet, really such the dynamism out of some of the songs.
I'VE STILL NEVER SEEN NYC AND STELLA AND THATS WHY I KEEP PAYING MONEY TO SEE THIS BULLSHIT LIVE
Seen him in Leeds (playing with Interpol, not like in the city centre eating a pasty) in March. Looked like Alan Rickman. Seemed competent. No NYC or Stella which I do blame on him. They did play Specialist for the first time in three+ years though. Also Kessler fucked up the beginning of Lights and I shouted KESSLER YOU DAFT CUNT and he even though he didn't acknowledge me I just felt his soul fracture. Surprised he hasn't done himself in yet to be honest.
