Lou Bega - Mambo No.5
Felt a massive sense of satisfaction when it got number 1.
but the first one I went out and bought on my own was Outkast - So Fresh, So Clean
had it on cassette and i slept with the cassette like a teddy bear. i don't know if you've ever slept with a cassette before but it's really uncomfortable.
have you heard cathymay15's version?
or it might have been Bobby Brown's stone cold classic 2 Can Play That Game
But it was out of stock and I bought some other random shite instead to combat the disappointment and bought Blue the next week. So I think my actual answer is Two Times by Ann Lee. :( :( :(
Was the Now album that either opened with this track or had it right near the start.
My mum got me that because I was obsessed with it. No idea what the first single I brought myself was, I know the first album I brought myself was the first spice girls one though.
So I assume it was one of those. First CD single I bought was Teenage Dirtbag \m/
is an excellent song. his voice is kinda annoying but it suits the song well.
I wish I was joking, but I'm not.
Girls, C'MON!, get your clothes off and the fun on!
Which makes me cooler than any of you fuckers.
sadly, the second was Dr Jones and the third was C'est La Vie. How quickly I squandered by relative 11-year-old cool points.
Not just as in random crap cheesy old stuff at parties. That fiddle solo is a facemelter.
My mother was not too impressed that I was singing it all the time.
I tried to karaoke this with my Jamaican boss when I was working my first bar job.
Chef Aid was it? On hindsight I probably didn't get 90% of the comedy but I loved it.
It had dance moves in the sleeve and everything.
ATB - 9pm Till I Come
Rick Martin - Livin La Vida Loca
Shania Twain - That Don't Impress Me Much
all in one go.
then the next time i got Semisonic - Closing Time just because my mate said it was a good song, which it was, and i remember being really pleased when it got to number 25.
How long was it before you realised the lyric wasn't "I can't belive you kiss your cock at night?"
first one i actually bought was words by boyzone, which was a birthday present for my sister. bought it with some our price vouchers i believe.
bought myself: something by Oasis. which one had Round Our Way as a b-side? that one.
it was a 12inch and glossy i used it like it was its own scratch pad on a belted sony turntable
I was 8 ... I liked the keyboard player cos he wore his pyjamas on Swap Shop
Beats International ft Lindy Layton
me own money- jj72 (oxygen)
"I'm going to bounce up and down on my spring".
I was nine.
Don't judge me.
The Guinness advert music :(
Guinness usually have decent songs in their ads.
I still think it's pretty ace.
The week after he died.
I bought 2 as my first ever purchase
The Teardrop Explodes - Reward
Landscape - Einstein A Go-Go
1st album was Adam & The Ants - Kings Of The Wild Frontier
"Fingertips" by Stevie Wonder on Tamla is the one I always think of. I distinctly remember walking to Bundy's in Hamtramck, I was nine. It was a picture sleeve with multiple color-tinted photos of Stevie. It also said "12 year old genius".
Still love that song.
