SAXOPHOWAVE
Cheesy saxophones seem to be the latest thing indie bands are stealing from the past and making hip.
There is that new m83 song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwMgAHp7FeA
Beth/Rest by Bon Iver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UtQe0JOCnM
and that Jai Paul track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUBAFPIHETA
Naturally this is the start of the biggest new buzz-genre since nightbus. Let's compile good saxophone songs so when saxophowave is upon us we are ahead of the curve. Starting with these:

Year of the Saxophone
Can't be bothered to find youtube links.
Destroyer - Pretty much anything off Kaputt, my favourite is the 'phone at the end of Blue Eyes
Patrick Wolf - The City
The Rapture - How Deep is Your Love
All of these are from this year. I had a thoery about how this is the year of the saxophone, what with all these indie bands discovering their inner Kenny G. Then I remembered both Clarence Clemons (arguably the most famous saxophone player in music) and Gerry Rafferty (arguably the writer of the song with the most famous saxophone riff) both died.
Careless Whisper?
I blame Gaga

Midnight City is ALL about the epic saxing towards the end. Well that and being generally amazing.

It's all about
Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty. No contest in the sax stakes.
I wouldn't dare disagree
...but for a close second I'd nominate Al Stewart's Year of the Cat and the oh-so-sweet transition from the guitar solo to the sax solo. That handoff is so smooth. One suave fucker.
Honorable mention goes to Homer Simpson and the saxamaphone:
