Ok,it's a naff thing to ask and of course I do not want to know your thoughts,I just wanted to add another BS thread
I don't understand these things.
I was embarrassed for them.
I always post this on this thread, but when he sort of kicks that chair I just think they look like a load of absolute dicks.
yea they sounded shit but so what? They'd come from playing pubs to everyone wanting to suck their dicks in a heartbeat and suddenly they're on jools holland with robbie williams and Pat Cash watching them. It was hardly out of character either, and y'know, crack makes you do stupid things. I'd still take it over 99% of Jools Holland performances before or since.
They're all over the place, Omar's guitar fucks up, but when did you ever see anything like that noise on television? Also, some people forget the same week they did this show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWbBw8ncDb0
Along the same lines, this deviates spectacularly but is nothing less than superb television: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbwxLGohUM0
Cedrics face in the background is brilliant :)
love that performance.
Watched it with a group of mates, think we were all pretty spangled by it.
was so cool
Got i love that song.
Would NOT want to be playing after that! Think some pussies like Travis were on the same show.
That ATDI performance gets worse every time I see it.
They ended up playing over Elbow. Very amusing.
The At The Drive-In Later is a good performance.
When Cedric lays into the crowd and baaaaaaaa-ing at them like sheep for moshing. I'd link it, but im at work and cant get YT...
It was McCoy Tyner.
That was pretty brilliant
That sounds like Top of the Pops was being filmed at my gran's house. It wasn't, to clarify. I was watching it at my gran's house. Obviously.
I actually remember that. Ah, kids saturday morning TV.
Here's one from the same period: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8auZVMX0HB0
But this is my favourite, Dannii Minogue and Gaz Top introducing noisy politico-punks Compulsion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBLY2ZHY2x8
on later in 1995.
nick cave doing loverman at glastonbury 1994.
pink performing on mtv music awards
Rocket From The Crypt - On a Rope on the The White Room
G'n'R - when they broadcast that gig from Paris on Channel 4. That was amazing.
I'd have liked to be in this room
We videotaped it.
But I was keeping the 90s alive.
Did Radiohead premiere Paranoid Android on Jools? That was pretty jawdropping stuff at the time.
Huggy Bear on The Word.
2003. Not 1997. 2003.
by so much
I still love this:
show on Sky Arts now and again. Makes me so so jealous.
but lcd at msg back in april
due to it being on Saturday morning Welsh television - I don't watch Saturday morning television, and I am not from Wales.
However this is a very good but massively LOLworthy Mclusky performance introduced by a young Steve Jones, from 2001. Check out those 12 year old girls in tracksuits going mental!
Radiohead- Paranoid Android and Oasis- I am the Walrus on Jools
...pretty memorable in a Eeyeeew, sort of way
fucking awesome performance, it's on you tube
