for laptop/hi-fi use etc. shoot
Now replaced with the V1's which look pretty swish, probably sound a little better with upgrade and such.
Granted, they don't really make PC speakers other than the likes of the Reveals for people who have home studios. Bit expensive for listening to spotify.
If your Hi-fi amp has an auxiliary input then you could just plug your PC / laptop in there and then you're computer or MP3 player just becomes part of your hi-fi system with your CD Player / Turntable / Cassette Deck / Mini Disc player (remember them?)
They sound great for their size
just a laptop?
with banjaxed speakers. and a laptop. but listen to a lot of music on my laptop.
otherwise get some quad 12-l's, last years models, or even 2007's will be £200-£300
than a hi-fi come to think of it. sound was never that great but i thought it might have been down to the speakers.
.. the ones at The Alibi http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=173129542747457
All these speakers would work for a turntable with a pre amp?
I've heard it's pretty bangin'. From what I've read, it works through the wireless network at a pretty high bitrate. Could be wrong though, and it does cast £400.
get yourself a couple of Rokits. The lower ends ones are fairly cheap and decent enough sound for starting out recording or listening to tunes.
I have no idea what their model is or anything because I bought them years ago. They are as tall as my 6 year old and they sound like the business.
My advice: take a 6 year old into a speaker shop and say 'get me a pair of tannoys as high off the ground as him/her'. Sorted.
