I.e washing machine, a thousand leaves
Basically beats any triple-run of RH records, i'd say.
The Trials Of Van Occupanther > the other two
His Columbia period had most of his gems (Round About Midnight-On the Corner)
His post-retirement stuff wasn't great. His early stuff was solid, but his key albums were during that 1957-72 period
perfect from now on and keep it like a secret are the definite peak
Rock Action to Mr. Beast.
Chop of the first and most recent two and you've got an exemplary five-in-a-row run.
Yo La Tengo (Painful --> And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out)
By which I really mean Rubber Soul & Revolver. Sgt Peppers is hugely overrated, and it was all over by The White Album.
Also The Stones, roughly from Let It Bleed to Some Girls.
Sonic Youth & Yo La Tengo are good calls too.
The first album is ruined for me by the presence of Nico, absolutely can't stand her.
White Light and the third album are pretty perfect.
Then Loaded is awful, and has anyone ever even heard Squeeze?
Stimgma is Brilliant.
