waited outside the springsteen hotel in dublin for two hours in july 2009 in the rain for the hope of seeing someone come out and he was all smiles and amazing. clearly in pain during that tour but such an incredible man, and i feel more grateful than anything to see him perform his jungleland solo live. genuinely wouldnt swap any experience in life for that
an immense musician and live performer.
but this dude was in a few episodes of the wire. repect is due.
first time I saw him I thought he was the coolest motherfucker I had ever seen. And he was.
As Nestor said above, getting to see his Jungleland solo live in the flesh is one of my favourite ever memories.
