any others of note?
Heres a track off it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Lqq5QwApjs
this is so bad
That's about to change though. Skrillex tends to do the trick.
Oh and the warm hearted man love vibe with added wobbles <3
by just shouting GRUNK GRUNK SKREEEEONK RONK RONK RONK RONK HERPITY DERPITY DOO into a microphone through distortion.
then record it
skrillex wont be doing a sonic-router mix/interview anytime soon ;)
I wouldn't imagain so no, unless he has a radical change in direction or shit hot side project he's been hiding somewhere. He seems like a delightful little sprite of a man though and the kids like him.
remixing the same song, name starting with sk, doing dubstep...
America is why we can't have nice things.
Im going to have to just switch on follow the leader and pretend that never happened.
as an endurance test. One of my friends managed to make it through a whole minute before turning it off. Presumably to go to counselling afterwards.
i used to listen to them
also this is shite
but so is dubstep in general
but not korn why are they doing this
Makes sense now. Also, less of this 'all dubstep' is shit please.
it's starting to creep into proper bands now, not just covers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwA5PLi6oTI little bits of farty dub bass between breakdowns
that fucking kicked ass at the time
Have been blending doom metal and dubstep for a few years now
that Metal & Dubstep go together as kids who are 13-15 who might have been into nu-metal 10, 12 years ago are now Dubstep kids.
If you like this fucked up hybrid and don't feel Coki then you're a pussy. Go see him live in a club with a weight soundsystem and you'll be leaving metal in droves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H3Wls-IOQE / http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIo8fuG7sAE He makes them sound as weak as piss. Guitars dont have the power or weight compared to fruity loops I'm tellin ya.
Is skrilez designed to bring dubstep to the goths & emo-kids.
I remember reading in mixmag a few weeks ago that when he played spectrum he was more reminiscent off a sepultra gig than a dubstep night with the size off the mosh-pit.
to when he plays he attracts (without stereotyping) alot off people who look like there more into metal.
they're not really dubstep and they're certainly not metal, but I can hear bits of each and they're really heavy and really great.
I'd say they where dubstep, I mean if Vex'd are then Cloaks are. They get some love in the scene anyway. Heavy as hell.
I'm no expert (on dubstep) so was choosing my words carefully lest I were ridiculed! I come at most of these things from an industrial/metal side of things (and most specifically via associations over the years with Godflesh) so I'm not well versed in the correct terminology...
I bet you shop for vinyl in Borderline Records and mutter under your breath every time an unkempt youth passes by who clearly hasn't discovered Belle & Sebastian. What is the nation coming to?
like brightonb listens to Belle & Sebastian
Are you the irritating guy you always have to shove your way past in Resident because they are standing in the middle of the aisle drooling over a Joanna Newsom CD? Just trying to build a mental picture...
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad.
'Rotting Misery (Doom Dub)' as I recall, had lots of low-end, fuzzy, squelchy bass and riddims. It pre-dated dubstep-metal, that trendy physics prof on the tellie, aloe vera and Pretzel M&Ms. And it were right good.
(Disclaimer: I haven't heard the track for 15 years)
