Who went? I thought it was great fun
Check out my dance moves
a great set and played a lot from Arab Strap and Tigermilk. I'm going again tonight. I prefer variation but to be honest, the same set again would be very welcome.
me in the blue
when i say i saw you on stage and thought 'i bet that's a disser'. i can't even explain why. i just knew.
Well done. I loved last night. I thought they were just great. I'm trying to find myself another ticket for tonight now.
Quite hard to dance to cause there's not really much music, it feels like you're under water.
it was a bit odd. But great fun! i hope someone filmed the song before as well
Did you know the others on stage or were you just picked completely at random? What's your medal like?
Thought it was an excellent show. Fifth time I've seen them now and although it wasn't as special as other occasions (Bowlie, the Royal Albert Hall show) it was definitely the most out-and-out fun. They're so tight as a band these days, and seem so in control, that they really put on a great show.
Would have liked a bit less from the new album (I really don't like it, although it sounds marginally better live), but the four or five each from Tigermilk, Sinister and Arab Strap was a pleasant surprise. Only real disappointment was that barely any tracks from the EPs (possibly none in fact?) got played. Would have loved, say Le Pastie de la Bourgeoisie to have finished the night, but that's just me being greedy. Bit jealous of anyone going tonight\tomorrow now.
surprised they didn't play it.
was completely random
so so special for about 10 minutes. But it is mildly creepy how he mostly picks pretty girls (although this does make you grateful to be a pretty girl). I found that most of the girls up there were far too cool for school, dancing really lamely (i.e. not making tits out of themselves) rather than going for it which was a shame. If the medal is still the same it says "I made it with Belle and Sebastan" on it with some kids running on the other side.
second gig was good fun but the first night's setlist was far better. The bloke with the blue t-shirt (who started this thread and) who pulled shapes was on stage on the first night too. Yeah, even the stage invaders were better yesterday. I'd love to make it a hat-trick of B&S at The Roundhouse but I've an Art Brut ticket for tomorrow. Anyway, which gig was better regarding Belle and Seb, last night or tonight? For me it was the first gig.
see ME on stage if you have an art brut ticket for tuesday. and you're there for the first band. oh yes.
Keith TOTP (And His Minor UK Indie Celebrity Allstar Backing Band), including members of the Brut. 7.45pm
Definitely the first night. Thought the set list was outstanding that night but was definitely a little new stuff heavy last night. Was lovely hearing Get Me Away From Here though. Always been one of my favourites. Still...Both nights were brilliant fun and I'd go again tonight if the tickets were a little cheaper.
I was onstage at Bowlie which was fucking cool, the best part about that was wearing my medal while dancing at Crazy Horse afterwards and someone actually buying me a drink cause I'd been dancing on stage! Best day ever.
BUT, only one track per first three albums? I really like the later albums but felt a bit new-era heavy at times, specially given recent setlists.
That Dog in Wheels is not my favourite song of theirs by a long shot?
Loved La pastie though.
