help these plucky lads fund their new LP.
Cracking band. Am putting them on in a couple of weeks - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=171990466187733
it sounds like Civil Civic, thankfully.
20 plays and counting just from today.
but unfortunately I'm one of those weirdoes who buys cds, not vinyl
They will be doing a CD release too. Is silly just to release Vinyl, especially in Europe people don't buy records.
If you go into record shops in Europe is a wake up call because they stock virtually no Vinyl. If you can fit the budget you should release records on CD/Vinyl/Download because then can get to the most amount of people.
CD's are also really cheap to produce relatively speaking so no reason not too.
Thats what we do with our label releases:
But if you're anything like me, you buy the CD, upload it to your computer and then slide it into place among the rest of your collection. So, for me at least, buying vinyl with the promise of a digital download is virtually the same, but with a bigger/nicer product. For that reason I started my small vinyl collection around this time last year (my first purchase being a CIVIL CIVIC single, coincidentally). I wasn't disappointed and I've since bought a vinyl to mp3 converter, for records without the free download. It hasn't stopped me buying CDs, and now I can enjoy the music I like that doesn't see a CD release (like this album).
Awesome band. Excellent news.
Very tempting to pay a load of money for all that stuff.
go get things set up for the Civil Civic / Ungdomskulen gig tonight. Should be amazing!
If Civil Civic aren't the best band in London then I'll wax Olly Mur's thighs.
Is becoming disturbing. Good gig, though.
AWESOME last night. Ungdomskulen were a right gooden two.
Really enjoyed doing the show at Shacklewell too, definitely gonna do more there.
