does anyone know if they'll be playing b-sides as well? Suede the album can't be longer than 40 minutes, if even that
Second half: Head Music/New Morning medley
I don't know, they have always had a pretty healthy approch to playing b-sides live, so fingers crossed... except for on the Coming Up night, Europe is Our Playground is the only one that's not awful.
Another No-One is also great
... it'd be a pity be if they didn't play Stay Together. God, I love that song...
when they did this the first time, just before they split
and you can search the other 4 gigs from that same week there too.
at the A New Morning gig. Would suddenly have made that gig worth going to.
Dog Man Star should be even better. Obviously, they played their debut in full and in order last night but here's the overall setlist that someone posted:
Standing. I'll sell for face value
... know what time Suede will be coming on at tonight?
they look absolutely amazing.
for tonight if anyone wants them at face value. VERY short notice, but you never know.
Although made me remember what a dog (no pun intended) of a song Daddy's Speeding is.
Encore was amazing: Living Dead, My Dark Star, Stay Together (is this first time they played it since Butler?), Killing of a Flash Boy, So Young, Metal Mickey, Animal Nitrate.
enjoyed the asphalt world. a lot.
It was actually incredible. I wasn't really expecting all that much to be honest, but Brett Anderson's voice was really something. It really feels like they've reclaimed something that they lost in the late 90s. Killing of a flash boy, wow...
the whole way through, especially the encore. I've been wanting to hear Stay Together live for years and gave out a little fist-pump of shear, unadulterated joy when they kicked it off.
Just an amazing gig. Loads of fun, fantastic songs and yeah, Brett's voice was impeccable. Now what am I doing up so early?
Can't believe how good that was. The set list was pretty much perfect
It's strange that in 1994 all people talked about was Definitely Maybe and Parklife. Dog Man Star never got the recognition it deserved I think. It truly is one of the best albums of the 90s. They're a great live band too. I did however choose to go to the Mercury Rev gig tonight instead of Coming Up. I hope I made the right choice; tonight's encore should be interesting.
it was amazing last night...
