Interested to hear what people made of it??
It was great I thought!
Quite Irvine Welsh-esque I thought, which is a plus in my book.
Have you read it yourself yet? I'd really recommend it if not.
But it's basically Patrick Batemen does A&R. Worth reading for the observations on the music industry around the time of britpop
Because up until now I've been put off by people saying to me it was a cheapened American Psycho. Like Noughts and Crosses is to To Kill a Mockingbird
But I haven't read it.
And with that, I yield.
It's quite entertaining.
It really is truly hilarious, properly funny. It's defenatley worth a read I reckon, though I haven't read Anmerican Physcho so that's perhaps why I think it's so good.
It's a pretty dark read to say the least, i liked it but it made me hate the music industry!!! i felt like i had been on a binge after reading it, yeah i'd be interested to find out how accurate it is as well.
If you like music and black humour, you'll like this.
James Dean Bradfield even pops up in it!
seeing the author read from it at Latitute a few years ago was one of the festival highlights
'the second coming' yet to read probably gonnna order it soon
