Anyone going then? It's gonna be SICK!
But I'm looking for a last minute bargain for a proper ticket. Which is a bit difficult.
Am I not going to be able to get in to anywhere without a wristband in Brighton? Like Camden Crawl?
There's countless awesome pubs and fun clubnights that won't be affiliated with the Great Escape that you'll be able to get into, and some really good free events, like the two you mention.
Also free : The beach, excellent shops, sitting with a beer in the park.
i also have a spare ticket which cost me nothing. i'll give it away to anyone that wants it. message me as soon as possible if interested.
was in first with the Message so it goes to him. Sorry, dan_thw, hope you have a good weekend regardless.
niallKP, i have replied with some arrangements for tomorrow.
Going on the Saturday. Looking forward to the weather, lots of awesome bands and drinking.
Not looking forward to the Sufjan/Antlers clash. Boo-urns.
Tonnes of stuff going on as usual. Too much really. It's going to be excellent. Already excitedly sorted out a schedule for Thursday and Friday. Saturday is looking good now too. Lots of really good Alt. Escape events this year.
If anyone's kicking around on Friday afternoon near The Fitzherberts, get involved in PUSH THE TIDE, the result of a social media experiment to see if a bunch of bands could put on a show in 20 days only using online tools!
Just for the Sufjan gig, what's the Dome like as a venue?
Great size and acoustics and sort of wide not long so you can see everything...and a civilised venue to, ideal for Sufjan. I've seen some great gigs there.
Looking forward to tomorrow and the rest...the planning and relentless MySpace crashes have been a pain in the arse though. Just about got a plan sorted except the people I'm going with have a bias towards electro type indie dance and I think most of them are forgettable crap so gonna disappear on Friday and enjoy the Scottish stuff at Green Door Store and and Josh Pearson and Villagers in the evening.
Is it fairly easy travelling around Brighton venues or are there queues for anything fairly big?
