What will you be listening to and doing this long weekend?
I can't promise that I won't be listening to Bluetones '4-day weekend'...
I just posted some suggestions, ranging from city guides for day-trippers by Los Campesinos, No Age and Metric, to Grizzly Bear's Gumbo recipe and British Sea Power's Top 5 Castles (this best article ever run on DiS?)
This weekend I'm going to try to stop listening to EMA, Friendly Fires' forthcoming album and Gang Gang Dance and catch up with a pile of bands and albums I've not yet had time to listen to. I will also be in transcription hell, so please prescribe me some must listen records that you think I'd rather like...

hello friend
might be going to see Mi Ami tonight. are they any good? the girl im seeing wants to go, not sure if it will be my bag or not, but possible added Dom Gourlay means im considering it.
quiet weekend i think, gonna visit me gran as she is on her last legs, and those legs are rubbish. gonna give 13&God a couple more spins before reviewing.
i've been listening to the tallest man on earth album again quite a bit, and degeneration street. not sure if there is anything new worth checking out.
I've never been particularly taken by Mi Ami on record but got a feeling they'll be totally bodacious live. Have fun, buy that Dom a pint on my behalf.
shall do
shoot us an expenses form, like.
Under 8s Rugby Tour!
So the chances of listening to much are small, I need to get round to listening some more to Low, Obits, Young Widows, Panda Bear and Smith Westerns. The kids are playing Torquay on Sunday, the rest of the time will probably be spent on the beach.
generally can't work to music but I was listening to the an lp by Evil Madness - 'the Traveling Wilburys of Icelandic electronic music' apparently
when i writing up some notes yesterday afternoon. it was quite enjoyable, and not that distracting.

I should be seeing Mount Kimbie on Saturday
but spained my ankle and can't drive :(
Hopefully Tomboy will arrive in the post in the morning, should be perfect listening for a sunny weekend
Gang Gang Dance & LV
Then on Sunday I'm on the radio again so I'll be picking loads of sunny slow house tracks and strangeness out for that: http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/music/4278325
Going to see Naked Gun at an actual cinema on Sunday!
For some reason there are 80s style aerobics afterwards but I might just drink instead of doing them
The true highlight of the 80s comedy season that is coming up is Caddyshack. Might actually go dressed as Judge Smails.
I will mostly be listening to Brainbombs and the Iceage lp what is at the delivery office now.
Otherwise will just be browsing rightmove and crying this weekend
I have no money left
so I will be doing something free. Maybe I'll go to the beach. I have been listening to Avi Buffalo, The Velvet Underground, the Submarine EP and the Sauna EP by Vondelpark in the sun lots this week so probably those
