Well they've just been added to this anyway...
hurry it up boys
Earlier Shins material doesn't really grab me outside the occasional song, but I adore Wincing the Night Away. Will be interesting to see if they/Mercer continue onwards from that or if it was just an anomaly album.
but prefer the first two. I reckon album no. 4 will be different again but it'll be interesting to see which direction they take. Mercer seems to be something of the perfectionist with regards to Shins releases so levels of expectation are ridiculously high
Oh, Inverted World > Chutes > When You Land Here...
give it some more spins and you'll love it
She put it on when we were doing the washing up.
so that's my clear favourite. The other two are very similar to eachother, in my opinion, so going by the pattern we should have Chutes Mk. II next up.
I was pretty underwhelmed by Broken Bells so I'm apprehensive about what's coming next but I still have faith in Mercer & co.
anyone wanna pay for me to go to SF?
Wincing the Night Away was great, I think it's a touch underrated if anything. Mercer seems to be pretty consistent (Broken Bells aside)
It's quite plain since there's only Mercer and minimal percussive accompaniment from Joe Plummer, but it's certainly pretty.
infinitely greater than Broken Bells, and I'm a huge bells fan :)
and London gets Wireless? :'(
http://www.philzcoffee.com/ and we only have a couple of Monmouth coffee shops
think I might abscond and not come back
ordering their albums by preference is an impossible task.
yeah and my ordering changes. i think Wincing might be my favourite in terms of texture...
I love the Shins and they're great live. I liked the Broken Bells too although not as immediate as the Shins stuff.
I guess it was always kind of his project though, so hopefully it won't affect the quality of the new stuff.
Oh, and Chutes > Wincing > Inverted
