And alan moore
If only it wasn't £60
as well for that £60 it strikes me as being pretty great value. That Alan Moore and Stephen O'malley thing sounds good too. There'll probably be clashes though. And I might not be able to go, which would be upsetting.
Too good, otherwise: Grinderman, Caribou, Beach House and GY!BE are all excellent live. I'm sure Liars and Portishead will be too, haven't seen them before.
Even so, it should be amazing. £60 isn't much for a lineup of that quality.
I'm just a povvo is all
Doesn't matter how good a deal it is if you haven't got the dosh.
£60 is a bargain methinks.
this years leeds festival is the bargain of the century.
there's a lot of difference between watching lots of bands play a string of well set-up indoor sets in front of a respectful crowd and the usual pissed-up outdoor/tent experience of a festival (esp. Reading/Leeds).
I think the 'indoor' element is a major perk of ATP in general for me... almost feels more like going to lots and lots of gigs than a festival as such.
Although the more bands that get added the more this looks like it's going to be one massive clash.
The 1am finish and price puts me off
This is clearly the best ATP related event ever
think it's a great line up and the price is good ( though i got the £50.00 presale)
Portishead finishes 11.00, so i hpe it's just dj's after that!
Terrible reputation as a aweful, cavernous place to see live music.
I've only ever been once (Bloc Party in 2007) and it was just criminal how bad the sound was. Like Earls Court.
In terms of clashes. If it kicks off at 11ish, and is over by 1am, then they could fit all these bands on one stage surely?
Where else is there to have bands? I've only been to the big hall part.
soundsystem for the event. We'll have two stages.
Sucky sucky venue. Will probs save my money & try and see a few of the headliners live elsewhere. On the other hand, the sound has got to be better than Field Day...
I think the sound in there is fine. It's just things like the token system and queues that I hate about it.
This won't suffer from those issues, cos it's on a Saturday, and they're canning the token system.
I have a good feeling about this day. Hope i'm not proved wrong...
elsewhere... ruh roh!
I didn't want to do both days though. Mildly annoyed that GY!BE are only doing the Sunday. Looking forward to seeing who else gets added.
I think Alexandra Palace will get their shit together for this. The new management got ripped to shreds after the LCD Soundsystem show. Plus, seeing as its in the daytime, its a great opportunity to take some beers up the hill and get drunk in the sun looking out over London.
Plus, seeing as I live in London's Fashionble Wood Green, I can walk home.
As others have said though, Alexandra Palace is hell on Earth. What to do ...
