On BBC 2 right now if not.
Or maybe I'm the only one on their PC and watching TV at the same time.
It's like she saw the likes of St Vincent and Scout Niblett and thought to herself "I can do that" but has totally forgotten about the charm, passion and a melody.
Clearly talented, Guess I just don't like the cut of her jib.
Also this interview doesn't do her any favours
Liking this Elbow song. It's got a hint of classic Asleep in the Back Elbow in it. A bit shamelessly BBC montage uplifting but there's nothing wrong with that.
Oh man, this is TV gold!
Time to stop. Will they? No? Err....
I'm loving it
I've never wanted to kill a pianist so much
If only to watch Jools squirm in the corner there.
I actually really liked it and I'm not a really a fan of their other stuff save for Asleep in the Back.
I think it's the way they put a choir behind a dull chorus as though it'll turn it into a good chorus. Absolutely unbearable.
Is this not pretty much Elbow by numbers?
Don't all of their songs sound like a faint variation of this?
Does anyone else think The National beat them hands down?
Interesting topic this.
As far as the show goes:
Another classic Jools Holland interview, hella cringe-worthy.
Raphael Saadiq = black Buddy Holly. Feels a bit of a novelty act, but nice song.
Beady Eye, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
The Tallest Man on Earth is not The tallest man on earth, but he is handy with an acoustic.
Still not sold on Anna Calvi.
No one can stop the Jazz train.
Glad the show is back, really really hope The Strokes appear at a later date.
