The songs were there - classic after classic. Amazing setlist and I was stoked about hearing some of them (50 Million Year Trip - fuck yeah!).
But it just wasn't right. Got me thinking that the whole band reformation thing is a bad idea. They are all alot older now, Josh is obviously missing. They didn't have that vitality that they had back in the day.
Also, I don't get the whole rebranding thing. This band is Kyuss Lives, which is fair enough - they are admitting its not really Kyuss. But the Kyuss Lives T Shirts were flying off the shelves at the back of the gig. Why on earth would you want a Kyuss Lives T shirt and not a real one from the true band?!?
Wasn't bothered really. Not worth the money. Although, i'm not a massive Kyuss fan so no sure why I went in the first place.
and I had a grand old time. It was just awesome to see those songs played live, and like buzzard55 says, it was just classic after classic.
I wasn't sure how the later material would work since only Garcia was in the band for their last record, but it was still great.
Of course, it's not the original band in their zenith (and you only ever know when that's long gone anyway right?), but it was really great for what it was.
And Spaceship Landing - yes!
