(This is a joke, right?)
I still can't decide.
i was wondering how many of their releases get a .9 rating.
Must be the most unemployed man on Earth
this was rather disappointing
They say that Liar's Sisterworld was the lowst scoring album to get a BNM (8.1) but it's not:
i know this because i remember audibly laughing when this happened because they didn't give a BNM to an indie band with a 8.4 just the day before, then happily dropped it on a black artist. i'm not one of those pitchfork conspiracy nuts, and i generally think they do good work, but they do have a tendency to be a bit embarrassing about hip hop. it sometimes comes off like your dad trying a bit too hard to dig that new animal collective album.
whitey just can't catch a break can he ;_;
makes this a bit lacking in power. I imagine the effect of different reviewers will be huge (perhaps he should've analysed the Planet Sound reviews of J Earls.) Interesting to see the graphs though.
