YUM YUM YUM
its literally 'very good'
hospice, conceptually, lyrically, musically, had a big emotional punch to it, and from what i can tell these songs tone down the melodrama a bit, which is a shame. i'm sure the album will be very nice, but i can already tell i miss the old antlers.
as in, whatever they'd do after hospice just wouldn't be... hospice. i think i'll enjoy the new album, but on a different level.
and some of the songs already sound fantastic after a couple of listens. no widows especially. it reminds me of incubus, but in a really good way
For me the sound, which incidently sounds much more dreamy, isn't as important as whether the album is a strong batch of songs. Early indications are that there are no duds whatsoever, though I am beginning to notice a similarity to Wild Beasts....am I alone in this?
