in manchester :) this makes me happy
but just over 10,000 tickets for the whole thing?
Going to be a scramble to book tomorrow.
im hoping it wont sell out too quick though as i have no access to the interwebs until about 11am
I'd be amazed if there are tickets beyond 10.30.
Can't you come to some arrangement.
can book me one , if not its fingers crossed im afraid :(
Not holding my breath though, half the internet seems to want to go.
That's my hope, at least.
coming from London, I can only really go to the Saturday one unless I book time off work (which I have very little left) - although I've just noticed the Sunday gigs are at 4pm. Intriguing.
if thats any help.
but perseverance brought two for the Thursday.
but going on the 16th!
Have not been this excited about a gig in ages
I really wanna see this but don't want to pay for a ticket and then find out she's playing London as well.
getting one of these tickets off your hands closer to the time would be no bother at all?
it was pretty use for me too. booked one for the 10th should be able to do a day trip to manc and back since it starts at 4pm.
that this still hasn't sold out
Over a 300 mile, 6 hour return journey but I'm sure it'll be worth it
So two things: who knows anything about the venue? And what exactly are we particularly expecting from this show? For all the talk of it's conceptual merit etc., it's essentially just a Bjork concert right?
dazeddigital article which I assume you read as well, so can't help you there. The venue, though, is what it says, an old market hall. Are you familiar with Manchester? It's in the same street as MOSI. I've never been inside these market halls, but they look nice from the outside and I can only think that they've thought about acoustics etc when picking the venue.
What I'm most excited about is that fact that there's only going to be 1800 people in there, which is so much more intimate than the 60000 and 15000 people I saw Bjork with at other dates.
Gonna make a weekend of it, should be ace. The only other time I've mamaged to see Bjork was at Glastonbury, so this should be a hell of a lot more intimate.
”Manchester is now officially the only European residence set in 2011. Other cities in the world will welcome Biophilia, but no date has been completely finalised. The music/scientific project is expected to visit five other cities at a rate of two per year.
makes me feel special
Robert Wilson/Marina Abramovi? piece w/William Basinski, Anthony, Matmos
Brothers Quay thing
i really should go
wonder if matmos will play w/bjork too if they're at the same festival. that would be well good.
