I know it's only March, but I am curious. Mine would have to be this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90y9PjNa2vw followed closely by this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVgEaDemxjc
I think I Got A Woman may be my favourite track off that record, especially when the French spoken word sample comes in and he loops the last word:
thank you thank you for introducing me to Nicolas Jaar. What a dude.
But it's this: http://g-side.bandcamp.com/track/came-up-feat-s-l-a-s-h
But again, good shout - my favourite off that record is probably Y U Mad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2p11fQlhkM
...although Im Sorry :( is incredible as well.
although, I'm listening pretty hard to Broken Ear Recrod by Black Dice this week and I'd be hard pushed to find an album I've enjoyed more this year.
CLICKING YOUR FUCKING LINKS. CAN YOU AT LEAST FUCKING POST THE ARTIST AND TITLE IN YOUR POST?
The first link is 'Albatross' by Wild Beasts and the second is 'The Wilhelm Scream' by James Blake.
click the fucking link. listen to the fucking song. make the decision: do i fucking like this? fucking roll eyes or download/buy song and enjoy. or just avoid threads with fucking links.
and then, I dunno, maybe that Peaking Lights song
'that Peaking Lights song'? All of them?
I couldn't remember it's name and was too sleepy to do anything about it
to clarify: 'Tiger Eyes (Laid Back)'
Still haven't heard the LP but it should be coming in the post.... soon
Can't seperate the two to be honest but they are both staggering and make me incredibly excited about their respective upcoming records.
Hip Love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGJKA5GUV4s
Lady Luck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-W__3GRS8o
I could probably list a fair few though.
hadn't heard either of those before and they're both real good!
these could also be my choices.
You Always Start It by XXXY: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESehV0OB26U
Like We Used To by Kahn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-Ff4TYLPT0
The Trap by Vessels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvtnqwHZVVE
Cramm by Three Trapped Tigers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFn2ipVR1MQ
Get Some by Lykke Li: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TTPGAy5H_E
And yeah, Yo by Merky Ace, Yonkers by Tyler, the G-Side and Nicolas Jaar mentioned above... 2011 has been great so far.
Or King Creosote & Jon Hopkins - Bats in the Attic
Or Half Moon by Iron & Wine.
How to be a Werewolf by Mogwai is up there as well.
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart- Belong
Pavan – 1000 Years [Harmönia]
I can't stop playing it
Mogwai - Rano Pano
James Blake - Klavierwerke

Mexican Grand Prix (Mogwai)
Slow Peels (Com Truise)

Don't have the faintest which of his 5000 solo albums with a limited edition of 5 CDRs it's actually from. But I first heard it this year. I don't tend to give a hoot which year things are released (although the other 9 are from this year, I think?)
Came out of nowhere but have listened to it a few times everyday since it popped up.
one of the guys from gobble gobble who have come up with some of my favourite tracks fromt the last couple of years

One's pefect morning music and the other's great for winding down haha
Lumiere's probably been one of my favourite pieces of music so far this eyar
that and 'near the parenthesis - japanese for beginners' are my favourite calming albums of 2011 so far. and definitely looking forward to more from purity ring

Mogwai - Death Rays
or Radiohead - Codex
or PJ Harvey - All and Everyone
or maybe even Explosions in the Sky - Trembling Hands

I've done one, what a loser.
Not everything is there, obvs.
Infatuation - Being used for the US version of Skins on MTV - I LOVE this song:
Snowing - Why Am I Not Going Underwater?

Belong - Come See
Peaking Lights - Marshmallow Yellow
Disappears - Revisiting
i'd probably go for still new by the smith westerns

and the new Battles song. Yonkers is better, so that.
some of that is fantastic. one of those songs then.
'Meatman, Piano Tuner, Prostitute' and surely the best name of a song

I'd go with
