The second most exciting piece of music news this week....
I object to your post. It's the most exciting piece of music news this year. I am all over this.
they're playing 'Songs for the Deaf' in full the night after...
Got my mate on the case with tickets, really hope he can get some as demand is gonna be crazy. They could sell a whole fucking month out at The Roundhouse playing this album!
Saw most if not all of this album played back in the day at a couple of shows I caught in 2001 and it was brilliant.
Is Nick Oliveri playing?
A reunion with Oliveri would definitely constitute as that.
he wasn't even on the first album which is i assume why they are doing it rather than rated r or songs for the deaf
They are doing this album because they are re-releasing it soon. Josh recorded guitar and bass on his own, but Nick was in the live band that toured the album.
Wasn't rude or anything, case of mistaken identity methinks.
It was in Texas at a Turbonegro gig, which was pretty sweet!
"Quick! Fuck off before they start playing!".
playing the debut in full. I'm sure they'll add more dates on this side of the pond too.
if they REALLY wanna do something special, play someone else's lp all the way through!!
it's a nice thing to do, especially as it's genuinely supporting the rerelease of a previously relatively obscure pretty hard to find album (by their standards).
The whole set was pretty much the first album. Unsurprisingly, it was awesome.
1999 at the big day out fest that was at milton keyes and they played most if not all of this then too :) i think the live peak was 2000 maybe through to 2003 , they are still pretty darn good now mind :)
bring Oliveri back already, Queens went crap after he was booted out. Preceeding SFTD, Lullabies was okay, and Era Vulgaris was just simply. SHIT.
any presale links out there?
manchester n glasgow now too :) manchester for me
I had a nightmare. Kept getting to the booking page via Ents24, input all my deets, but the order kept failing.
Oh well. I suppose I saved a bit of money by being unsuccessful!
will go see the RAA on the 17th and see if QOTSA announce any further london dates.
Got totally no joy with seetickets and the same as you for Ents24
But a mate did manage to sort for me, so BOOOM!
Gave up on the UK, & got tickets to see them in Brussels
I managed to get straight through to the SeeTickets booking page at 10:15, butcouldn't find my debit card and by the time I did it had sold out. Bollocks.
As roundhouse's website collapsed (as usual) and seetickets put me in a queue to nowhere. The lady there informed me it was sold out but that more tickets would go on sale 'in the next few hours'
