I can only think of two from the top of my head.
Death from Above 1979
The Band (Levon Helm)
for a while until they got a seperate drummer
The Longcut have/had a drum machine and a singer who went to hammer the kit when not singing.
Keeping it old school...
They need to make another album. On a related note, Cornell played drums and sang when Soundgarden first formed, if that counts?
best name for a band fronted by Taylor Hawkins.
Though they all tend to sing together quite a lot so it can be difficult to even notice.
Great singer, played standing up, looked a bit like an early 90's Roger Federer.
Get on this:
There has never been a finer LEAD singing, (standing up) drummer than Andy Sturmer, and to top it all, this is one of the finest songs ever recorded. Remarkable stuff.
Husker Du (for half of their stuff anyway)
...half the time, anyway
until robert wyatt left
Seafood & Yo La Tengo occasionally
have one that sings plenty. He tells good anecdotes too.
At least when they started out. They eventually hired another drummer so that the singer could prance around on the stage instead.
was gonna mention China Drum,
worthy mention of Pop Will Eat Itself's drummer hung up his sticks to drum
all the shit ones.
right said fred
lead vocals shared between Janet (bass) and Kram (drums).
Crazy horses, WAAAAAAAAAAA, WAAAAAAAAAAAA
Greg Saunier sings lead on a few of their best songs (Queen of the Mole People, Choco Fight etc.)
man they were shit
Don Henley & The Asswipes
Hasil Adkins !!
