Tell me what the first song they played is called?
It was amazing.
From The Getty Address
from Mount Wittenberg Orca. It was beautiful. (I'm not crying... I've just got something in my eye!)
Great gig. Minor (really minor gripe, because artists should be allowed to experiment) gripe was that on a few of my favourite songs, they departed from the album versions (The Bride and No Intention in a different key, Useful Chamber with totally different timing) so I was really pleased when Fluorescent Half Dome was totally faithful to the original.
Love this band.
it's an awful place, still - I regret not going, especially in light of your minor gripe! That's one of my favourite things.
I'm gonna have to book up for next time *wherever* they end up...
But I just don't get on with Koko. £4 to put my coat and bag in the cloakroom. £4.30 for a can of redstripe. It just makes me angry
£4.30 a can is just robbery. I'd come from the Borderline and it was £3.60 there (Georgia Ruth was wonderful) that was bad enough.
Enjoyed it, but it was nowhere near the experience I had with them at Glastonbury in June. Probably the alcohol price and the 8ft, rather enthusiastic group in front.
Two Doves was the highlight for me.
I would pay £4.30 to see that
