Comfortable on a Tightrope and Sounds From the Other City present..
as part of SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER CHRISTMAS...
The legendary TRUMANS WATER, originally from San Diego, in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, touring their brand new album out now on Asthmatic Kitty Records, 'O ZETA ZUNIS' especially for SOUNDS FROM THE OTHER CITY. Asthmatic Kitty can say it better than us...
'Truman Water took shape in ‘91, when the Fender-bending brothers Branstetter hooked up with singer-guitarist-catalyst Glen Galloway; soon San Diego had a rollicking avant-rock angle to its music scene inTW, the kind of band that, say, could righteously open for/tour with the Boredoms (Trumans did). + SEX HANDS
Three best friends from Wales and some duuuude from Runcorn, now Manchester, playing songs about the TV show Friends, with the charm of BEAT HAPPENING and the soul of JAMES BROWN (psyche) but really they're the best band you'll hear this decade featuring members of IRMA VEP, KLAUS KINSKI, PUMPING IRON, WAITERS and FEEL RIGHT. Soon to release their COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE/BRUISED TONGUE tape cassette, these kids are going GLOBAL!
Three best friends from Bideford (Devon for the geographically challenged) playing excited, repetitive, teenage boy music. In the vein on COACHWHIPS or pretty much anything JON DWYER has laid his hands on. Very primitive, very new.
