This is a bit of a mega jag. I am doing a UK Black Metal Week special on my blog, looking at the Britishness of the music being currently produced, and whetehr their are any unifed themse or scenes going on underneath the favoured media one of Ye Olde Englishe Heathenism. (A: Obvs, yes, and it's here in many forms)
First three posts are up now, the intro, Winterfylleth and White Medal.
All week I'll be introducing new and critical bands each day, then one more classic from someone who should really need no introduction. I've got interviews with some of the most interesting bands around at the moment, including Cäina, Ghast, Sleeping Peonies, Hateful Abandon, A Forest of Stars, and Barad-Dur, all of whom have some great insights and opinions.
Here's the link to the intro/first post.
