Is there a cloakroom?
Might even catch her instore at Rough Trade before it as well.
I'm not 100% sure but I think there is a cloakroom at the Lexington. Does the place at the bottom of the stairs where you pay double as one? They might be nice and just look after your stuff there anyway.
It's so cold out there the capacity is going to be halved due to everyone's thick winter coats if they don't have one...
really loud. Was nice to have a not-that-full Bar and Kitchen too.
Ah well. I am now suitably 'stoked'. :D
Marnie doesn’t have the hott bassist anymore.
any idea of what time she is playing?
Shame about the the absence of hot bassist though!
8pm start, two bands? I'd guess 9.30 to 10?
I'd suggest you get there 8.30 for 9.
Good advice if I had a ticket and it wasn't already sold out. Oops.
as long as its not sold out
White Light presents Marnie Stern, The Agitator, Munch Munch
8pm-4am sold out, free after 11pm to members
oh well money saved i guess
pretty tired though, and not fancying a sold-out Lexington crowd as a result...
The new stuff, to me, sounds much better live than the old stuff does - like the new songs are more easily (!) reproduced by one guitar and one bass. This might just be because it was the first time I'd heard the new songs.
Either way, sounded great.
Best bit, Marnie's guitar messing and up and sounding out of tune for the first half of 'Crippled Jazzer', then her bassist fixing it just before they launched into the outro. So good.
Munch Munch were also very good. I think they're my favourite British band at the moment. The new album is now in my top ten for 2010.
'The Agitator' really really sucked and was an utter dick.
band on re the agitator
and I thought this time was much better - mainly because the new stuff sounded 'fuller' live and the band seemed tighter. Even Marnie's guitar playing seemed a bit more confident and a bit more controlled.
But I saw marckee and he said he preferred the Luminaire show, so I don't know, it might just be that this time my expectations were different.
What did you think anyway?
by me standing right infront of the hott bassist.
Marnie was great though. Good banter too.
Don't think that much of her voice really but in a bizarre way it adds to the charm.
had tickets but missed it :(
