much better than where i'm going
No, not cos they're Australian. I think it's the baseline:
now I won't be able to listen to it without thinking of that
which is a nursery rhyme Australian kids sing. Men at Work recently lost their court case against some royalties company that bought the rights to that song in the 60s (it was originally written by some nuns in the 1930s or something) and are looking at forking out a shitload of dosh now, given that it was the first song since the beatles to top the US an UK charts at the same time. Bet they didn't put too much aside either the poor bastards.
And there might be a bunch of facts there that are not quite correct ... but the general gist is right.
"Where I'm Going" was pretty decent, whereas this track is truly sickening.
don't say Everywhere is dire. classic song
Mind you knowing brigtonb they probably mean both
there are very few bands that I like to hear more of the same from
from BLNL to IGC to "Take Me Over", there's a clear move from an early-80s to a mid-70s aesthetic.
does lack originality with it's fleetwood mac riff rip off - but pleasant enough
'Everywhere' was release in the late-80s not mid-70s by the way
because frankly, I think it's better written. I also agree about the "Land Down Under" comparisons, they're unshakable.
