Thats how my coworker just got done describing the album Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis) by Praxis.
He brought it in for me to listen to and I just got through it. Its a weird mix of prog, jazz, hip-hop(?), avant-garde, dub, metal and funk. There are some really quality musicians at hand here: Bill Laswell on bass, Buckethead on guitar, Brain on drums and Bernie Worrell on keyboard. The sound quality is tops too.

Yah true, I don't know if I agree with his statement.
But it made for a more engaging thread title than "WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME PRAXIS WERE SO GOOD" or some crap like that.
I would have hated this when I was younger too, like I hated Primus, maybe I should revisit them then.
The Warszawa and Sacrifist albums are pretty ace too
Different to Transmutation, but still worth checking out methinks. Sacrifist has John Zorn and Eye from Boredoms joining Buckethead and Bootsy if I remember correctly.
