Is anyone going? Does anyone wanna go?
One hell of a good ticket.
same night as the first of the two broken social scene / tortoise shows as well. i was sorta planning on going to both of those. butttt this as well...
i'm half expecting to win some tickets for leftfield cos they're doing two dates and there was a comp for second date tix the other day that had the feint whiff of lower than expected sales about it.
seen both HF and Buck recently, but they're both aces (Buck esp.) so i'll probably get tix for it, rather than relying on a leftfield freebie.
the day before it was Leftfield vs Phantom Band vs FourTet+Caribou vs (ahem) Klaxons. i went for Phantom Band.
Seeing them next Thursday...
V good. King Tut's in May. The crowd was up for it. Recommended.
Also v good. Cos there's a few of 'em, they can cook up a nice rich, layered sound.
There are only a few acts that I'd pay to see three times in one year. That probably speaks for itself, I guess. Once at a Chemikal Underground anniversary night and another time at an arts centre do. This'll be the first time catching 'em as their own headliner.
That Bike For Three! LP was one of my favourites of last year.
I haven't seen him for a good few years now :'(
But I am going to the Belfast show on Thursday. EXCITED.
or if it's an early THREADSMASH.
I remember when ASIWYFA supported them, that was brilliant.
And the other one.
It's going to be a GOOD night. The new album is really clicking with me
As Holf fuck are in the top 3 live bands I've ever seen and I need a new cowbay cat t shirt
and just hang awkwardly nearby. Isthatcool?
stop stealing my plan.
although Lovely Allen->Stilettos->The Pulse almost made up for it. Gonna give this one a miss.
get played live? loved that record
I'd be surprised if he didn't do anything from it.
very tempted then!
It's Monday after all.
ain't got much checking back time...
I rather enjoyed losing myself in it all - good gig
Although I could have done without the hat-wearing, photo-and-video-taking, side-to-side dancing guy that looked like a refugee from the V festival circa-1996, standing right infront of me.
I kind of saw him from a ways off and thought 'could be irritating, muct avoid'.
Anyway, a fine entertainment.
A tweed trilby.
Shame it was a Monday night.
Thought the new stuff more than stood toe to toe with LP stuff - Red Lights, Stay Lit and P.I.G.S all kicked off big time
of my work:
'orrible lighting. Really great gig, actually nice to see a London crowd move and stuff
Just back from Bristol, no fun to take photos at all!
