I'm glad we all agree and I apologise if this same exact thread has been posted several times
one of my faves
...but I really didn't like it. Outrageously derivative. Made me want to have a rifle through their record collection rather than listening to it again.
But then I might give it another chance in a few years and see how I feel then.
but there have been others released since that match its impressiveness.
even going so far as to say that some have bettered it.
But it's a great album, nonetheless.
... can't remember the last time i listened to it, not this year i don't think.
i wish they'd tour again soon.
this is just to start a dialogue, isn't it?
Hell of an opener/closer combo, feedback, ballads, Geoff Barrow & Chris Cunningham! They touch on so much: brit-pop, shoegaze, post punk, goth, and more.
Sorry for sounding so sure. It's just I was on a long train ride the other day and looking through all of my library and that popped in my head before, during, and after picking it. Hell of an album.
please do some tour dates this winter.
if they swapped primary colours for you could never tell, i would have been made up.
it's one of my favourite albums
was disappointed. I mean, it's quite good, but no more than a solid 7/10.
one of the records that will stay with me for a very long time
