clearly written by smackable idiots, right?
Now you've drawn my attention to it I want to hit YOU.
really feeble atempts at humour
it's the fact it is aware how pointless everything is that makes me laugh. it's far more sinister than The Onionm which is meant to be upbeat, it's just snarky and belittling, in a 'blogosphere' filled with people all too keen to puff themselves and these 'relevant' little bands they like but don't particularly seem to genuinely love. http://twitter.com/hipsterrunoff
the onion is actually funny. This is just dreck...
Doesn't take anything serious but also informs you of good stuff.
Cheers wild for showing me it x
That's probably the worst music site I've ever had the misfortune to run into...
how can none of you - with the exception of wrightylew - see that?
i thought they were being completely serious. and so did thingsthatfly when he referred to their feeble attempts at humour.
It's a satirical observation of just how shallow the 'blogosphere' really is. I could be wrong but seeing it from that point of view makes it at amusing read, anyhow.
smart people think its funny; also cool
it lampoons musical culture in the 21st century bloody brilliantly. Sometimes the guy who writes it goes a little to far into complete madness, but on the whole it hits the nail on the head perfectly
by being a website written by hipsters, for hipsters, taking the piss out of hipsters.
but you have to admire the single-minded obsessiveness of it
It's terribly written, but it's often spot on at puncturing the hypocrisy of much music coverage and satirising the way people use music in terms of having it function as part of their personality or personal style.
if it's only read and loved by the people it's meant to be taking the piss out of? Charlie Brooker has intimated that's the reason why there'll never be a second series of Nathan Barley.
