testify is a great opener, my current choice is freedom for best riff though
For some strange reason my favourite song is of theirs is Darkness (of Greed). Incredible all the way through and the guitar solo goes from mental noise to lightning-speed jazz noodling effortlessly. Way better than b-side standard!
And otherwise, I love Vietnow, TURN ON THE RADIO... NAHH FUGGGIT, TURN IT OFF
Or at least, good taste when it comes to bad bands that I'd be embarrassed to be caught listening to any more.
I fucking loved them as much as anyone "back in the day".
Its Rage man!
Not the Dave Matthews Band.
But at least with Rage I get memories of performing Bombtrack at the school talent show. Suckaz be thinkin' that they can fake this.... cringe/lol
that opening noise is practically hip-hop...!
not a riff.
Also I love Tire Me just because of the "I wanna be, Jackie Onassis, I wanna wear a pair of dark sunglasses, I wanna be, Jackie O, oh oh oh PLEASE DON'T DIE!" bit.
Evil Empire - easily the best Rage album.
That has a good everything really.
revolver is a new fave
also had a cool jamiroquai song on it.
I better check this Godzilla OST out.
is a bangin' tune, what a bass line!
Best Song - Guerilla Radio (Solo)
Best Riff - Wake Up
Street Fighting Man
(Stupid fingers, pressing enter instead of backspace)
Morello is lord of the riff, choosing a fav isn't possible. BUT...
Born of a Broken Man has my fav lyrics, this bit:
His thoughts like a hundred moths
Trapped in a lampshade
Their wings banging and burning
On through endless nights
Forever awake he lies shaking and starving
Praying for someone to turn off the light
however the bit in No Shelter after the second chorus, from 2:27 in this live version is my favourite bit of any RATM song.
it sounds like his guitar is screaming in the build up.
