when she's out for the evening. Reduces chances of being burgled, she reckons.
she so p-noid play out one night and done gone aksed him to do a breezeblock sesh
So there you go.
she wasn't always on it. But she often was. I think a lot of people got excited about big beat and brighton at one point in the late 90s/early oos. Its like dance music's Britpop era... But it didn't linger on as long and most people moved on to better things pretty quick.
but yeah she got onto that eventualy and I don't blame her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HIaeCz7Ua4
there is a lot of shit in dubstep don't get me wrong, its one reason I talk about the other stuff so much. Its cos it needs the hype compared to the absolute shite that is about.
There is so much shit plodding, no energy, noisy, boring agressive, cliche shite about its unreal but it goes deeper than that. The original dubstep stuff and the fringes of whats going on now are very diffrent to the middle of the dubstep scene. Its kinda strange.
That trak is by Mala one of the original dubstep dons, it aint out yet, you will ony hear it if you go and see him DJ in a club.
Many shades of dubstep are available...
The good stuff is out there and has some vibes to it that you can get involved with. Plus the strangest stuff goes off in clubs. Its realy something.
Aphes was never about the club tho, this stuff is. AFX doesn't get the same energy going, it wont punch you in the chest with bass frequencies, or make your feet move, it'll just be a good listen. Which is no bad thing its just diffrent...
You have to find the right nights though or its just full of students, hangers on and dick holes. But a really good dubstep night is so goooood. Its really open to strange music, I mean you'll hear Loefah drop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvymFpZYXBM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWfiog1Ure4 and it'll be pretty insane...
Its got no beat at all really. But it still destroys the clubs when I've heard it played. Its inspired by Wiley's grime instros called Devil mixes that had no beat to them. They're tools to tease the room with. You mix in a track with no beat in a club you spin the whole place out and they go mad then you drop a beat and it goes even crazier... its all about tension and release. Its hard to imagain stuff like that working in clubs until you experiance it, but it does...
I dunno what else to suggest there is so much going on and its all pretty diffrent. Just gotta deep and dig in haha.
Having seen him twice in a club, once in a smaller setting and once in a bigger setting, I don't think I've ever felt more energy in a room and I can tell you that I danced my feet off of my legs.
..and heard her on the radio i'd assume she wasn't in...maybe someone else was listening to her though but i'd just cloraform them and get on with the job
it's almost as if she hadn't heard of any of the bands before and had only just learnt to speak
Second time he went away
Left the bathtub running over
Stereo on and cooking bacon
Never came back to tell us why
Never expected that when I stumbled into this thread.
