So only a tin eared Creed fan wouldn't agree that canadian band Stars are one of the best bands around. I mean 3 fantastic heart tugging albums in a row culminating in the slow burn masterpiece in melodrama that was "In our Bedroom after the war" one of my favorite albums of the last ten years. I was extremely excited to hear of the new album "The Five Ghosts" coming out this year and bought in on the day of release. It was a little disconcerting that after it's release talk of the album completely fizzed where as the last 3 seemed to be staples for the quite some time on music sites. What's even more odd is it appears the album is somewhat of a botch. I mean i'm confident the songs are there but the production is so muddied and the songs seem to be half finished that the whole thing passes in a very frustrating manner. In fact the album is so forgetful and clearly inferior to the last 3 that it almost comes off like some of kind of odds and ends rarities album then the follow up to two of the best albums ever. Am I wrong?
