That band is...
but I don't think that JAMC are as well captured by that description as people like to make out.
That really doesn't describe The Jesus and Mary Chain at all well.
if yes, they probably are Jesus and Mary Chain as acoleuthic suggests
if no, it could be pretty much anyone
like No Age
if that's not the band you're thinking of, it should be
Pop songs over a massive wall of sound. Not all guitar though...
They're more like 4 minutes? Maybe not pop enough? And maybe their guitar noise isn't quite blazing enough?
But *other than that*...
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart?
i do not know what to think
Appently the ep version will not include Dave Lee Roth's vocals when released. Does seem to be a joke track on first listen.
Still riffy fun tho, will have to wait for the ep to come out
I laughed for three straight minutes at how flawless that is with vuvuzelas.
but that band always go on for 4 or 5 minutes.
Sugarcube, for example, pretty much three minutes.

are you wanting us to suggest bands that are like this because you want to listen to more of this, or because you heard a band like this, but can't remember their name?
you have one in your head and we have to guess what it is.
you like this kind of stuff and want suggestions on acts in this vein for you to follow up?
I said both of these, one post up!
this many (young) boy fliends
Distophia did this really well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCOu1wyBuF8
'King Of the Beach' easily achieves this status, well, in my opinion anywhere.
The Pains of Being Pure At Heart are the correct answer. Okay they're not very original, but their songs are catchy as hell. Don't let the terrible name put you off, they're really rather good.
poptimusgrime and robsluvnic have found me out - I love this kind of stuff and I'm way too lazy to investigate...cheers! (Asobi Seksu was a great shout - saw them live and it was like listening to daytime radio through a blender - great!!!)
