Anyone heard about this? I've not seen it mentioned here or many other places - am only really aware of it through a few bands I know being involved.

Basically, the people behind the RATM No 1 campaign set up a process to select 40 unsigned bands and run a campaign to get as many of them into the charts as possible. Whether they will actually get into the charts remains to be seen, but I think the biggest benefit will be getting some of these bands the exposure they deserve.
