Whaey, The first show I've organised in Manchester, hopefully the first of many.
It is with my greatest pleasure that I can tell you that Josephine Foster and the Victor Herrero Band will be playing on Tuesday the 5th October at the lovely Sacred Trinity Church in Salford. Josephine Foster, one of the most enigmatic and luminous folk singers of present times, will be singing Federico Garcia Lorca’s popular folk song collection “Las Canciones Populares Espanolas”
with guitarist and husband Victor Herrero and live band. She describes the band as an energetic Andulusian Jug band and Josephine will dance and play the castanets. This should sound amazing in the wonderful surroundings of Sacred Trinity.
The band will be releasing an album on Fire Records in September but in the mean time have a listen here, http://www.myspace.com/jfostervherreroband
8pm, 5th October at Sacred Trinity, Manchester.
Tickets are £10 from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/86040
and support will be confirmed soon.
Don't forget the two amazing guitarists playing at Cafe Oto on 2nd July, Steffen Bahso-Junghans and Cian Nugent!
