yeah fuck off "i grew out of eminem years ago". yeah he lost it on his past couple of albums, but recovery is set to be a fucking cracker.

firstly. the single was released. it's called "not afraid" and although the chorus is CHEESEY AS FUCK (and expectedly so) the verses are actually very good. he admits relapse was terrible. he admits that the whole schtick of doing many accents was horrible. he tells us he's going to be great again. and i want to believe him.

he also teased us with a fucking BRILLIANT track called despicable. which is, without a doubt, the BEST THING HE HAS DONE IN A VERY LONG TIME. it is genius. it is smart. em is rapping smart again. and it's great. it's funny, it's full of quotable lyrics, and it's brilliant. and it fill me with hope that recovery is going to be a very good album. it's unrelenting, no chorus, straight to the point, furious, and worth listening to.

okay. next with the album art. the album art comes in two choices. one with shady walking down a road. the other, which is a fucking BRILLIANT image, comes with shady in a box in the middle of possibly detroit? anyway. it's a very deep image with a lot of meaning and is very good.

so eminem is doing everything right so far. i mean sure, a weak cheesey chorus on the single, but to be fair to him it's to be expected. but right now i am so excited about recovery. he's back on his game.

or so i thought. now, the tracklisting was revealed. which put a LOT of doubt in my mind because the track titles are fucking HORRIBLE. and he is collaborating with the worst people ever. pink?!?! jesus.

great, pal. these track titles are horrible, showing nothing original. cinderalla man? yeah, shit. talkin' 2 myself? do you not know how to use the internet? there's a lot of talk about this being a hoax tracklisting, and by all accounts i hope it is. and eminem would have got us good. but "won't back down" featuring PINK has been released too.

and you know what? i really like this. it's different. it's interesting. it has some clever lyrics.

so recovery is up in the air right now. and i don't know what to think. i really WANT it to be a fucking good album. i want eminem to be back on form, and to deliver something that is brilliant. at the start, he was doing everything right, and i was super excited. but now... i just don't know. i really don't.
